| Improvisational Word Scores |

Improvisational Word Scores can be used for any instrument/voice, solo or group improvisations, and are suitable for all levels. The idea of the Improvisational Word Scores is to inspire, encourage, and invoke musical emotions and ideas in the performer, without the use of common notational scores. No dots here - just words! Can be used for non musical inspirational too! drama, writing, art, dance....
Make up your own Word Score : cut out headings and phrases from newspapers, choosing ones which you feel could inspire a particular musical reaction, and then start rearranging them.... You could just write down an assortment of words and phrases yourself and then chop them up and lay them out. This is a good excercise if you've hit a creative brick wall and need some random inspiration.
